Uses: Necessary raw material for other (high purity) barium salts. Barium chloride dihydrate is mainly used in manufacturing of insecticide, pesticide, rat poison, pigments, boiler detergent (steam antiscale), gold purifying, metallurgy, metal heat treatment, ceramic, medicine, paper making, Lake Toner, purifying sugar, extinction of rayon, tannage (tanning) and finishing leather industry etc. Exactly used as mordant in dyeing and printing textiles, cotton reverting dyeing, fabric dyeing; as water softener(softening agent)in chemical industry machine building and metal working etc; as SO42- electrolysis agent in refining brine of caustic soda manufacturing (purification of brine). To produce PTC ceramic, precision electronic elements, high/low frequency capacitance, process MOS chip, radiation&heat prevention product etc. Also used in the production of barium titanate by the oxalate process, in the production of special glass and in the preparation of pharmaceutical intermediates.
